Executive Team Building duration 2 days
Are you really a team of individuals rather than a team that works closely together? Do you complement each other's strengths? Often, owing to tight deadlines and time constraints, the benefits of team working, although understood in theory, are not put into practice.
This 2 day introductory course helps delegates get to know each other a little better (outside work as well as within), understand the different learning styles within the team andwhat that means, and individuals' leadership styles - as perceived by them and their teams.
At the end of the two days, the next steps the team wish to take to build on their newly found knowledge and understanding become apparent and follow up bespoke training can be designed.
Decision Making de Bonos Six Thinking Hats duration 1 day
An introduction to de Bono's Six Thinking Hats and a different way of decision making. This is an interactive day, with all the right props as you might imagine, illustrating the power of thinking differently as a group, without making judgements.
Each course is tailored to include specific work-related examples to make the exercises meaningful for individual clients.
Communicating Change duration 4 days (2 consecutive days per fortnight)
Many people don't like change - the word can conjure up fear and mistrust.
This course will help you if you are planning to introduce changes in your business but are not quite sure how to communicate it to your people. It provides insight into impact vs intent (did we really mean to have that impact by what we did or didn't say?); the words we use, our body language and the importance of effective two way communications and measurement.
If change is not communicated effectively, the changes won't happen - simple!
Coaching for Success duration 2 consecutive days
So often, coaching is misunderstood as something that has to be done to improve people's performance - a negative thing. Coaching for Success focuses on the positive, looking forward not backwards and building individuals' confidence in their abilities.
If you want to understand more about coaching, how to do it and the positive effects it can have on you and your teams this is the course for you. It not only opens doors to new opportunities but opens people's eyes to their own potential.
Coaching & Managing duration 1 day
Yes, the two do go together (and should). If you are thinking that you don't have time to coach because you have to spend all your time managing your team, think again! The two go hand in hand.
This course can transform directive managers into coaching managers.
Leading the way - Managing & Leading - duration 2 days, plus two half day follow up sessions
Look on the internet and we can all find many management development programmes on offer, but how to choose between them?
Leading the Way is different because it is based on personal experience and is all about people and how we behave with each other.
Todays pressures on leaders are such that it is easy to forget that leading and developing people, our most valuable resource, is actually the most important part of the job.
Leading the Way is a simple but motivational approach based on principles that are with you every step of the way and where the focus is firmly on leading by example and encouraging others.
The two follow up sessions, typically three months apart, review progress and changes in behaviour and approach. Feedback is sought from the manager's team and discussed with the manager in confidence on a 1:1 basis.
This course is a must for all newly appointed managers and team leaders, as well as more experienced managers who may have picked up bad habits and need the inspiration to do the right thing.
Conducting Effective Meetings duration 0.5 days
How many people have been to meetings and left them wondering why they were there or what it was all about? How many people have team meetings but try and get them over with as quickly as possible?
Conducting effective meetings is the responsibility of all who attend. This half day course will provide practical hints and tips for conducting effective meetings, whether you are chairing them or not. After you have attended this course, people will be queuing up to be invited to your meetings.
Facilitating Meetings duration 0.5 days
A good facilitator brings no baggage. This course is designed to help delegates understand the role of the facilitator and the skills required for effective facilitation.
It also covers the importance of understanding the importance of group dynamics every role has a valuable part to play. Delegates will receive hints and tips and some golden rules for effective facilitation, as well as some invaluable practice.
What to say in Tricky Situations and have a successful outcome - duration 1 day
We all have tricky situations to deal with at some time. It's all about communicating in such a way that everyone involved feels listened to, respected and understood. Practical help is on offer and delegates learn how to turn a tricky situation into a win/win situation.
Learning all about yourself (and a bit more) duration 0.5 days
If you understand what makes you tick and why you are like you are, it will be much easier to understand your team members and colleagues. This is a starter course, ideally suited for new managers and team leaders looking for help and a confidence boost in managing people.
Creating a Communication Strategy and Plan duration 2 consecutive days
When changes are being introduced by companies, much time is spent on planning and implementing but letting people know what is happening is often an afterthought.
Delegates will learn how to create an effective communication strategy and plan, specifically tailored to helping people understand and manage change.
Project Managers and internal communication managers would benefit from this course - communicating change is very different from communicating good news. See 'Communicating Change' below for the follow up course.
Presentation Skills duration 2 consecutive days
You have to give a presentation to the management team on your latest project and you are dreading it. You know your subject but the thought of standing in front of all those people terrifies you.
If this sounds familiar, this two day course is for you. It provides practical help and feedback to boost your confidence and skills. Be prepared to practice in a safe environment and see yourself perform.
